Chocolate spoons are perfect for serving guests, for pairing with Alton Brown’s hot chocolate mix or as part of a coffee lovers gift basket. These spoons are adorable and tasty, and they’re really easy to make as well.
Use the chocolate spoons to stir hot chocolate or coffee for — in the words of my eight-year-old — “even more chocolate-y-ness!”

Supplies:
- chocolate chips
- plastic spoons
- crushed candy canes
- white baking chocolate
Directions:
In a small saucepan melt chocolate chips over low heat.
Dip plastic spoons in the melted chocolate, using a cooking spoon to cover all of the edges and catch drips.
Transfer spoons to a piece of wax or parchment paper and sprinkle with crushed candy canes if desired. For white chocolate drizzles, allow the chocolate to begin to harden before drizzling the melted white chocolate over them.
Variations:
Top chocolate spoons with miniature marshmallows or shredded coconut instead.
